ACCOUNTABILITY: A WORD THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PRETENDS DOESN’T EXIST

Accountability: A Word the Federal Government Pretends Doesn’t Exist

Merriam-Webster defines accountability as “the quality or state of being accountable; especially: an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one’s actions.” Dictionary.com similarly states it’s “the state of being accountable, liable, or answerable.” Cambridge adds that it’s “the fact of being responsible for what you do and able to give a satisfactory reason for it.”

That’s what accountability is supposed to mean.

In practice, though—especially when it comes to the federal government—accountability seems to mean absolutely nothing. Our so-called “leaders” in Washington have made it abundantly clear that they believe they are above scrutiny, above consequences, and certainly above the law.

Where was the accountability for the disastrous and deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan?
Where was it when Americans begged for answers about the preventable deaths in Benghazi?
What about the blatant lies behind the Russia collusion hoax or the staged drama of January 6th?
Who has been held responsible for the 2020 election mess or the deep and deliberate suppression of truth surrounding Hunter Biden’s laptop?

How about the Epstein files—conveniently hidden, ignored, or destroyed?

And the billions funneled to Ukraine with zero transparency or oversight—what about that?

Or the fraud, waste, and abuse uncovered in the Department of Justice, FBI, and other once-trusted institutions?

And perhaps most egregious of all: Where is the accountability for the lies, manipulation, and forced compliance surrounding the COVID “vaccine”—a product pushed without long-term testing, that has resulted in untold damage?

And let’s not forget the role of the mainstream media, the willing accomplice in this entire charade. Rather than hold the powerful accountable, today’s media acts as a propaganda arm for the political establishment. They bury stories that don’t fit the narrative, silence dissenting voices, label truth as “misinformation,” and demonize anyone who dares question the status quo. They didn’t investigate the Russia hoax—they promoted it. They didn’t challenge the lockdowns; they endorsed them. They didn’t dig into election irregularities—they dismissed them. The press was meant to be a watchdog. Instead, it’s become a lapdog—obedient, controlled, and complicit.

Time and again, this government proves one thing: they will never hold themselves accountable. The American people are expected to obey, pay taxes, comply with mandates, and keep quiet. But when it comes time for answers? For justice? For consequences? Crickets.

Accountability has become a one-way street—weaponized against political opponents while conveniently bypassing the powerful elite. And yet we’re supposed to just keep trusting them?

The federal government has abandoned the very principle that is supposed to keep public servants in check. Until that changes, they don’t deserve our trust, our confidence, or our silence.
